Frequently asked questions
Who does DORA apply to?
Since 17 January 2025, DORA applies to financial entities: banks, payment and e-money institutions, investment firms, insurers and crypto-asset service providers. It also indirectly affects their ICT service providers.
What is the difference between an ITGC audit and a DORA compliance assessment?
An ITGC audit tests IT general controls – access, change management, operations – that matter for the reliability of financial reporting. A DORA assessment is broader: ICT risk management, incidents, testing and third-party risk.
What is the DORA register of information?
A register of all contractual arrangements with ICT service providers that a financial entity must maintain and submit to its supervisory authority. We help you build and maintain it.
How do you ensure auditor independence?
We do not audit systems or processes that we implemented or manage ourselves. Audit findings are evidence-based and reported directly to management or the audit committee.
How long does an IT audit take?
It depends on the scope and the number of systems. Before we start, we agree on the audit scope, plan and the list of required documents, so the audit disrupts your daily work as little as possible.
